Welcome to Tirah's Landing.
A unique holiday cabin based just outside Edinburgh in the Scottish Borders.
We moved here as a family in 2014 with our elderly Golden Retriever, Tirah. She loved wandering around the grounds and was often found sat on a jetty watching the fish. It only seemed right to bring her on this journey with us and therefore Tirah's Landing was born. We are of course dog friendly.
Our Story So Far
Nestled in the beautiful hamlet of Macbiehill, in the Scottish Borders, you will discover this bespoke and environmentally built cabin on the banks of its own loch. A unique and tranquil haven only 12 miles from the Edinburgh city bypass.
The structure is architecturally unique and merges flawlessly with the woodland surroundings. Constructed in Highland larch with locally sourced Scottish natural materials, our small team of local builders have captured our vision to create a haven for rest and relaxation.
Come and enjoy the tranquility of the rolling hills and gentle peacefulness that surrounds this state of the art cabin. Whether you are looking for total rest and relaxation or a full packed activity vacation Tirah’s Landing has it all.
A perfect location for the hiking, mountain biking and fishing enthusiast to be based, you will be spoiled with some of Scotland’s best facilities on the doorstep. Tirah’s Landing can also provide the surroundings and ambience for creative minds to flourish and explore. A true haven for artists from all backgrounds.
The self catered, non-smoking, cabin is finished to the highest standards inside and out, and no expense has been spared in creating a luxury and comforting experience.
